for everyone
When buying a product, customers take into consideration personal comfort. For example, a chair with a back rest is always a better option than a stool if the person buying it will spend more than a couple of hours sitting on it. For this project, I asked computer users, enthusiasts, and graphics artists for
suggestions on how to create the perfect design for a mouse putting their personal comfort as top priority. For them, a mouse must be comfortable enough to feel as if it was second skin -- part of their palm. It must also be flexible enough to fit well on anyone's palm. Given that people have different-sized
palms and fingers, the material of the outer layer of the mouse should be able to mold into the actual shape that the users desire. Another consideration is
orientation -- users may be either right or left handed, so options for the right and left clicks must also be given. Thus, I thought of the "FLEXI-MOUSE" --
a normal mouse (mechanism-wise) with a unique outer layer similar to the popular pillows w/ micro-beads. This material will be able to act as a "pillow" for
the user's palm. With regard to the left and right clicks, the user will have an option switch to determine which clicker will act as the user's main clicker
(right hand or left hand option). The mouse will also have a scroll on each side. Right hand users can use the scroll on the left side of the mouse while
left hand users can use the scroll on the right side of the mouse.
